Glass Still Life Finished
The glass project was very hard for me. I couldn't get the proportions and symmetry right. I also had problems with shading the cloth the glass was on. I couldn't get it right and whenever I tried to make it better I made it look worse. The glass on the left looks good if seen from far away, but up close they both look kind of bad. This project was definitely one of the harder ones I've done.
Glass Still Life Progress
I am very bad at getting the proportions right for this picture. I decided to just start coloring the sketch and it looks more like glass now, but I still have a lot to do to make it look right. This is a really hard project and I don't think I will get it right, but I'm not that far and can still try to make it look right.

Photojournalism-3
These pictures show the process of tea being made. It was at night, so the lighting was from the ceiling light. I edited the pictures using the iPad app Photo Editor. I couldn't think of anything else to document that would have been more exciting, so I just took pictures of something I was doing at the time.
The first picture is the tea bag in the cup before the water gets put in, showing the changes it can make in a couple of minutes. The second picture is the kettle boiling water with steam coming out. I took the color out of the picture everywhere except the kettle to ring the attention to the kettle. The last picture is the final last stage in making tea. It is done and ready to drink.

Handscape Finished
This is my handscape project finished. I had a lot of problems with the palm, so it doesn't look right. Some windows and doors don't really go in line with the actual building too, but I thought that since it is a fantasy world, then the buildings don't have to look exactly right. But other than that I thought it turned out all right considering the problems I have with proportions.

Photojournalism-2
The pictures were taken two summers ago. Almost every year there is a nest in the same pine tree, in the same spot. I decided to take pictures to show how the eggs changed throughout the summer. I forgot about them a lot, so I didn't take any other pictures than the ones here. The pictures show the development the birds go through in a short period of time.
The first picture is showing how birds start out. The second picture is a while after the eggs have hatched. It wasn't taken directly after they hatched because there are more feathers than there would be directly after hatching. The gap of time between the last two pictures is larger than the first two. The last picture is right before the birds will have to leave because a.) they are old enough to survive on their own and b.) there won't be enough room for all of them soon.

Photojournalism-1
These are all pictures I took during a storm. The first two pictures were taken during the storm. The first was taken outside, and the second was taken out my bedroom window. I tried to get the raindrops in focus, but my camera wouldn't work right, so instead it's showing how strong the wind was during the storm. I didn't really put a lot of thought into taking the pictures because I wanted to take them before it was too late.
This third picture was right after the storm. I took this to show the changes clouds can make in a small amount of time. The last picture shows the sunset behind clouds. The storm was very strong, but didn't do any damage. I chose to use four pictures because they were all different and showed different stages of the storm.

Handscape
For this project I am only using pencil, but I might decide to add color to some parts. I'm having trouble with the proportions for the buildings, so some are a little lopsided. I also can't figure out the thumb and hope it looks better once I shade it.
Scavenger Hunt
1.) History
This is a picture I took at the Mackinaw Fort on a vacation a couple years ago.
2.) Man-made Object
This picture was also taken in Mackinaw city, right down the road from a lighthouse. It is on a path on the lakeshore. I chose this picture for to show that nature and man-made objects can go together well.
3.) Nature
This is a waterfall in the Tahquamenon Falls State Park.
4.) Light
This is also in Tahquamenon Falls and I chose this for light because the light shining off of the water was very noticeable in this picture.
5.) Something Cold
This bridge is in a park up north that had a frozen waterfall at the beginning of the stream.
6.) Something I Care About
This is in Frankenmuth. My family and I go to Frankenmuth every year, so this picture summarizes something I care about.
7.) Something Warm
My family and I were camping in Baraga and I was playing around with my camera, so I took pictures of the campfire. I edited this picture more than the others by making it darker on the wood and brighter in the coals.
8.) Movement
This was taken when we were driving while it was raining (looking out the left window). This shows both the camera moving (inside a car) and the raindrops sliding down the window.
9.) Direction
The highway shows the different directions there are to take and all the places there are to go.
10.) Life
The orchids were in a large garden in Tennessee. The picture is showing only a small portion of the life inside the garden.
